Gills played well for 60 to 70 minutes, containing the League Champions according to manager Mark Stimson (read his comments using link below) before conceding two goals in eight minutes.

The Gills still await their first away win this season and might need to do this at Wycombe on Saturday 8 May to stay in League One.

The top video shows first half action and the middle video shows some second half action with Rene Howe getting into a good position only to foul and be fouled.

The bottom video shows some extra second half action plus the Gills team coming toward the 1,000 or so Gills fans at the end of the game.

Young Jack Payne was the GillsConnect Man of the Match. The Gills team tried hard but missed chances, especially one by Dennis Oli when they were on top and this cost them dear in the end.

Southampton is the next game at home.
