Although Gills have had an indifferent start to the season and are still without a win Andy is not really that concerned and believes that, when all the players are fit, the current squad is strong enough.

However there were a number of Gills League Two rivals that did participate in the transfer market on deadline day and the following is a summary of their dealings.

BARNET - currently 24th in League Two

Manager Mark Stimson has dipped into the non-league market to sign Charlie Taylor from Sutton United. The 24-year-old striker had been training with the Bees and arrives at Underhill for an undisclosed fee.

Mark Stimson said,” He brings us something different to what we have. Charlie is a striker who plays off the shoulder and I am looking forward to working with him."

CHELTENHAM - currently 6th in League Two

The Robins have signed Portsmouth midfielder Marlon Pack on a season-long loan. The 19-year-old joins the Cheltenham squad hopeful that it will increase his opportunities of earning first team football at Pompey.

Marlon has not been able to cement a regular place in the Portsmouth starting eleven and has spent previous loan time with Wycombe Wanderers and Dagenham & Redbridge.

CREWE ALEXANDER - currently 13th in League Two

The Railwaymen are talking to Chelsea to extend Wales Under-21 international goalkeeper Rhys Taylor's loan spell and believe it will benefit all parties.

Alexander’s boss Dario Gradi told the Club’s official web site, "We are looking at the possibility of extending Rhys' loan with us and have spoken to Chelsea.

We are happy with him, they are happy with him being here and he is happy to stay. I think he has enjoyed playing some games and what we do here."

HEREFORD UNITED - currently 16th in League Two

Two signings were completed for the Bulls manager Simon Davey who swooped to complete deals with Amadou Rabihou and Dominik Werling (pictured left).

Cameroon striker Amadou Rabihou began his career with AC Milan and after enjoying a successful trial at Edgar Street signs a deal until the end of the season, pending international clearance. Simon Davey told the Bulls web site, "Amadou has looked very sharp and has a lot of experience playing against some of the best sides in Europe”.

German utility player Dominik Werling joins Hereford manager Davey for the third time in his career after being with him at both Barnsley and Darlington.

LINCOLN CITY - currently 15th in League Two

Imps manager Chris Sutton has completed the signing of trialist Adifane Noussoura on a short-term contract until the end of the year.

The midfielder had been on trial since the end of June and has featured in the club's last two reserve-team matches.

Former Celtic colleague Didier Agathe who runs a football academy recommended the 18-year-old to Chris Sutton.

OXFORD UNITED - currently 18th in League Two

19-year-old Doncaster midfielder Josh Payne has joined Oxford United on a one-month deal. Josh was released by Premiership West Ham during the summer and scored on his first-team debut for Doncaster Rovers against Accrington Stanley in the Carling Cup.

Having already had spells with Wycombe, Cheltenham and Colchester in his career so far, the former Hammers' Under-18 captain brings a good degree of experience despite his young age.

ROTHERHAM UNITED - currently 3rd in League Two

Defender Dean Holden has signed a one-month extension to his loan deal from Shrewsbury at League Two rivals Rotherham.

Dean Holden has started all four of the Millers' League Two games this season since his summer move from Shrewsbury and is the latest loanee to extend his stay with the Millers after Peterborough centre-back Exodus Geohaghon agreed a further one-month deal.

SOUTHEND UNITED - currently 14th in League Two

Shrimper’s manager Paul Sturrock has completed the signing of defender Chris Barker on a permanent deal from his former club Plymouth Argyle.

The 30-year-old left back has signed a two-year contract at Roots Hall after enjoying a successful loan spell in the opening weeks of the campaign and joins on a free transfer.

WYCOMBE WANDERERS - currently 8th in League Two

The Chairboys confirmed their worst kept secret that new Premiership boys Blackpool have signed their winger Matt Phillips on the transfer deadline.

Matt Phillips joined the Seasiders for an initial fee of around £325,000 but Wycombe could get as much as double that amount depending on whether Blackpool survive in the Premier League.

The highly rated 19-year-old is an England youth international and Wycombe owner, Steve Hayes wanted the player to stay but said he really couldn’t deny the youngster a chance of playing in the Premier.
