Martin Riley has taken the unusual step of paying his own transfer fee in order to make the move from the Kiddies to the Robins and link up with former boss Mark Yates. 22 year-old Riley was unable to leave Aggborough on a free due to him being under 24 and the Robins couldn’t afford the fee.

The Club has revealed that a new temporary stand will be erected on the Blackfriars End at Edgar Street and provide seating for 650 away supporters. The stand will be ready in time for the visit of Oxford United on September 11.

The stand is a temporary measure until the Blackfriars End is re-developed.

Former Gills midfielder Albert Jarrett now a rising star for the Imps has been called up by Sierra Leone for their match against Egypt in Cairo. Jarrett's involvement against the Africa Cup of Nations champions means he will miss two Lincoln matches. Albert has played five times so far for his country.

The Shrimps new £12 million Globe Arena has seen a recruitment drive from the Club for extra stewards on matchdays.  With bigger crowds inside the stadium from that of their former home at Christie Park, staff are required both inside and outside the ground for a wage of £5.80 per hour.

The 19 year old is keen to play a part when Cobblers travel tto take on Liverpool in the third round of the Carling Cup. The Millers have signed 24 year-old Nigerian striker Jeremiah Ani on an initial one month deal after impressing boss Ronnie Moore during a pre-season friendly against Tamworth. Ani is now in the squad for their trip to Edgar Street having received his international clearance from the FA to play.

Good connections at Stamford Bridge has proved fruitful to U’s boss Chris Wilder after he snapped up former England U-17 midfielder Danny Philliskirk on a months loan from Chelsea. The 19 year-old former Oldham Athletic trainee was signed by ex-Blues boss Jose Mourinho for a big fee in 2007.

The Shrews teenage talent Tom Bradshaw has earned his first international recognition. Tom has been named in the Wales under-19 squad for the away friendly in Liechtenstein next month. The 18-year-old burst onto the scene in spectacular fashion as he struck two goals on his debut at Crewe in April.

The Gulls have agreed a £35,000 compensation package for the transfer of 22 year-old winger Mustapha Carayol to Lincoln City. A Football League panel was due to decide the fee before both parties reached an 11th hour settlement that includes a £15,000 down payment plus 20% sell on clause.

According to reports Blackpool F.C. are on the verge of landing Wycombe Wanderers winger Matt Phillips before the deadline. A number of clubs have been linked with the 19-year-old but it seems Blackpool are favourites to win the race for his signature by offering a three-year deal.
